Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, known in Japan as Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair (ダンガンロンパ 希望の学園と絶望の高校生, Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei), is a Japanese visual novel game developed by Spike Chunsoft. It is the original main title in the Danganronpa series.
It was originally released in Japan on November 25th, 2010 for the PlayStation Portable, and later on October 10th, 2013 for the PlayStation Vita. The game was launched on February 11th, 2014 for North America, then a few days later on February 14th for Europe by NIS America for the PlayStation Vita. A port for Microsoft Windows was released on February 18th, 2016, followed by being ported to the PlayStation 4 alongside Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair on March 14th, 2017.
